Built in Asia, for Asia.
Denpyo turns receipts into tax savings for freelancers and small businesses in every major Asian market — from Tokyo and Seoul to Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.

Native in every market we serve
Each country's own tax rules, currency, filing deadlines, and language — not a translation skin on a foreign product.

ThailandOur Story
Denpyo (伝票) is the Japanese word for the humble slip of paper every business owner knows — the receipt, the voucher, the proof that an expense actually happened. We kept the name because nothing captures the universal headache of running a business quite like a crumpled receipt at the bottom of a bag.
We started in Japan because that's where we'd spent more than twenty years building companies. Japan's tax-filing season — the annual scramble to gather a year of receipts and defend every deduction — was the problem we lived, and the problem we knew best.
Within months of launching, Denpyo was being used by designers in Hong Kong, consultants in Singapore, developers in Taipei, and foreign freelancers filing Korean taxes. Different tax codes, same pain. So we rebuilt Denpyo for every major Asian market — each country's own categories, tax brackets, filing deadlines, and record-retention rules, in the language people actually work in.
Built for the way Asia actually works
More than 15 million freelancers and self-employed professionals work across the markets we serve — and the tax rules they navigate could not be more different. Hong Kong has no VAT. Singapore opens filing on April 15. Malaysia just made e-invoices mandatory under MyInvois. Vietnam requires 10 years of digital records. Japan's Electronic Books Preservation Act makes scanned receipts legally sufficient.
Most bookkeeping tools are built in San Francisco or London and bolted onto Asia as an afterthought — wrong categories, wrong currencies, deadlines for countries you don't live in, and a language switcher that's mostly window dressing. Denpyo is the opposite. Every market is a first-class citizen, built from its own tax authority's rules: NTA in Japan, IRD in Hong Kong, IRAS in Singapore, LHDN in Malaysia, the MOF in Taiwan, NTS in Korea, and more.
Our Mission
Turn tax-compliant bookkeeping into a five-second daily habit — for every freelancer and small business owner in Asia. In their own language, their own currency, their own country's tax rules. Less filing scramble, more time running the business.
Our Vision
One app that travels with you across Asia. A design studio in Hong Kong, freelancing in Seoul, consulting in Kuala Lumpur, a Blue Return in Tokyo — Denpyo already knows what each tax office expects, and keeps your records ready for it.
What We Believe
Local intelligence, not translation
Every market has its own categories, currencies, and deadlines — each built natively from the tax authority's rulebook.
Your data, your control
Financial data is sensitive. We encrypt records in transit and at rest, isolate by country, and never train AI on your books.
A five-second habit
Bookkeeping belongs in the moment the receipt exists, not three months before filing. Snap it — we handle the rest.
Asia, built natively.
Nine markets, not a translation layer. Each one built from the ground up.

The Team
Denpyo is built by a small group of founders who have spent the last two decades starting and running companies across Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore — filing in multiple jurisdictions, in multiple languages, with receipts in multiple currencies. We built the product we wished we had. We think you'll want it too.
How we work
Local-first, always
Every feature ships to the smallest market we serve before we call it done. If it doesn't work in Taipei or Ho Chi Minh City, it doesn't ship.
Ship the receipt, then the spreadsheet
We're bookkeepers before we're designers. Categorisation, tax rules, and archive integrity come before any new screen or animation.
Own the tax code
We read the source documents — NTA notices, IRD circulars, IRAS guides, LHDN bulletins — and translate them into software, not the other way around.
