The 2026 tax filing period is from February 16, 2026 (Monday) to March 16, 2026 (Monday). Refund filings are accepted from January 1. Late filing may result in additional taxes and penalties.
Blue tax returns offer up to 650,000 yen in deductions but require double-entry bookkeeping. White returns have simpler requirements but no special deductions. Choose based on your business scale and accounting capacity.
